About

Amanda A. Vitale is a skilled and dedicated family and matrimonial law attorney who brings a results-driven approach to every case she handles. With nearly seven years of litigation experience, Amanda has developed a reputation for providing strategic, compassionate, and relentless advocacy for her clients.

At Montefusco Law Group, Amanda represents clients in all aspects of matrimonial and family law, including contested divorces, equitable distribution of marital assets, custody and parenting time disputes, child and spousal support, and matters involving orders of protection and domestic violence. She has successfully guided clients through cases ranging from negotiated settlements to highly contested trials, handling every stage of the process from preliminary conferences to post-judgment enforcement and modification proceedings.

Amanda brings a unique skill set to the firm by continuing to represent family and matrimonial clients who also face related criminal charges that may arise during these difficult and highly emotional times. Her ability to seamlessly navigate both the criminal and family court systems ensures her clients receive comprehensive representation and protection of their rights across all legal fronts.

Her experience as a former Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney, where she prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases from arraignment through trial, combined with her work as a criminal defense attorney on both the state and federal levels, gives Amanda a distinct advantage in the courtroom. She has honed exceptional skills in evidence presentation, cross-examination, and strategic case development, allowing her to handle high-conflict litigation with precision and confidence.

Amanda graduated from The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2019. During law school, she served as President of both the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association and the Hofstra Family Law Society, was awarded the Hofstra Law Public Service Award, and earned the Academic Excellence Award in Contracts. She was also an editor for the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal.

She is a former Chair and Vice Chair of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Criminal Courts and Procedure Committees, where she worked closely with attorneys, judges, and experts to address developments in criminal law.

Amanda’s clients value her ability to combine aggressive advocacy with practical solutions, ensuring their rights are protected while helping them move forward with confidence.
