About
Amanda A. Vitale brings a dynamic perspective to our office with years of experience as a litigator in the public sector. Mrs. Vitale graduated from The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2019. During her law school career, she served as President of the Hofstra Trial Advocacy Association and was awarded the Hofstra Law’s Public Service Award which is in recognition for her dedication and successes in the public sector. She also served as president of the Hofstra Family Law Society. Amanda Vitale was the proud recipient of the Academic Excellence Award in Contract’s Law and was a proud member of the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal. She was junior staff member for Volume 35 and served as the Alumni Relations and Symposium Editor for Volume 36.
Amanda started out her career as a Prosecutor with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office where she was responsible for handling hundreds of cases, including violations, misdemeanors, and felonies. Amanda gained a wealth of litigation experience as she handled these cases from arraignment to trial, and sentencing. During her time with the office, she was promoted to the Domestic Violence Bureau and Case Advisory Bureau. After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Amanda worked as a Criminal Attorney in the private sector defending various types of criminal cases on both the State and Federal level. She gained experience in both Nassau and Suffolk County Family Court handling matters involving orders of protection, custody, and visitation.
Amanda is currently a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and holds the Chair position of the Criminal Courts and Procedure committee. As Chair of this committee, she works with various professionals, including attorneys, Judges, and experts to stay apprised of any changes taking place that effect the practice of criminal law.
Mrs. Vitale’s experience has given her a unique perspective that she uses to carefully advocate for her clients on their matrimonial, family, and DV cases here are Montefusco Law Group.
